Sachin Kate was born in a poor farmer family in a small village of Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The family was facing financial crisis, social and educational challenges were also no less. After studying till fourth standard in the village, his father sent him to his friend's house for further studies. However, the biggest challenge was to survive in the city. For this, he started selling newspapers. He would go door to door in the morning to distribute newspapers, after which he would go to school and study.
