UP's Sabih Khan Named Apple’s New COO

Indian-origin Sabih Khan, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, has been appointed as Apple’s new Chief Operating Officer. Associated with the tech giant for over 30 years, he enjoys strong backing from CEO Tim Cook.

UP boy has become Apple's new COO (Chief Operating Officer). Yes… Apple has given a big responsibility to Indian-origin Sabih Khan and made him its COO. Sabih Khan will replace Jeff Williams, who is retiring this year. Sabih Khan has been working at Apple for the last 30 years. He is currently playing the role of Senior Vice President in Operations. He has also improved manufacturing and sustainability programs. Sabih has a special connection with Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has praised Sabih Khan. Tim Cook has described him as the mastermind of the supply chain. He said, “Sabih is a brilliant strategist. He has played an important role in delivering Apple products around the world. This means that Sabih Khan is very good at planning. He has helped deliver Apple products to every corner of the world.

Tim Cook further said, “He promoted new manufacturing techniques, increased production in America and reduced Apple's carbon footprint by 60% to protect the environment. This means that Sabih Khan promoted new ways of making products. He increased the production of products in America. He also reduced Apple's carbon footprint to save the environment. Carbon footprint means the amount of carbon gas released into the environment by a company.

Who is Sabih Khan?

Sabih Khan was born in Moradabad, UP in 1966. Some time after his birth, his family shifted to Singapore and then he moved to America. After double graduating in Economics and Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University, he did a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York.

After working as an application development engineer and major account technical leader at GE Plastics in 1995, he joined Apple and gradually started taking responsibility for product quality and supply chain. In 2019, he got the position of Vice President of Operations. For the past several years, he has played an important role in bringing Apple's most innovative products to the market and shaping the company's global operations strategy.
