In a major development, Shubman Gill has been appointed as the new captain of Team India for the upcoming England tour. The BCCI has announced a fresh squad featuring several young and promising players, signaling a strategic shift toward building a team for the future.

 
 

The Indian cricket team has to go on England tour next month. There will be a total of 5 Test matches. This tour will run from 20 June to 4 August. The selectors have announced Team India for this series on 24 May.

IND vs ENG: Team India has been announced for the England tour. The Shubman Gill era has started in Indian Test cricket from today. He has been chosen as the new Test captain. Gill has replaced Rohit Sharma, who had said goodbye to this format after the Australia tour. Virat Kohli has also retired from Tests, so Karun Nair and Sai Sudarshan have got a chance in his place. One of these players can play at number 4.

While Shubman Gill has been chosen as the captain on the England tour, Rishabh Pant has been made his deputy. Some big players will not be seen in this series.
