Outstanding Players to Be Released After Sushasan Tihar

Finally good news has come for the sports talents of the state. After Sushasan Tihar, the state government is going to announce the names of outstanding players. For this, first a high level meeting will be held, after which the list will be released. The first list will have the names of about 50 players.

The result was that Sports Minister Tankaram Verma held a meeting of the officials of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department and gave clear instructions that the list of outstanding players should be prepared and released soon, so that they can be given government jobs.

Minister Tankaram Verma had told the sports officials that the upcoming action should be completed soon to fulfill the pending announcement of outstanding players of the past years. Similarly, instructions were given to appoint trainers (past champion athletes) in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, Raigarh, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki districts and to start the operation of the training center soon.

Sports Minister Verma discussed in detail with the officials on various issues related to implementation of departmental schemes and ongoing sports activities, infrastructural works, youth activities etc. He said that he had asked to take action for immediate recruitment on the vacant posts of direct recruitment and contract approved by the Finance Department in the Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
