The Soormas entered the contest with confidence after registering a seven-wicket victory over Fazilka Falcons. Chasing a target of 183 runs, Amritsar completed the chase with 186/3 in 17.3 overs to record their first win of the tournament.
The victory helped Amritsar recover from their opening match defeat against Mohali Kings, where they posted a strong total but eventually went down by five wickets.
