Arjun Tendulkar to Marry Saaniya Chandok on March 5 in Mumbai

Arjun Tendulkar, son of former India captain and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, is set to marry Saaniya Chandok on March 5, with the wedding ceremony scheduled to take place in Mumbai, according to people familiar with the arrangements. The couple got engaged in August 2025 in a private ceremony attended by close friends and family members.

The development places the spotlight on the Tendulkar family once again, though those close to the couple say the celebrations are expected to be largely personal in nature. Sachin Tendulkar had confirmed the engagement during a public appearance last year, making the relationship official after months of speculation.

Arjun, a left-arm pacer and all-rounder, is currently focused on his domestic cricket commitments for Goa and has been featuring in India’s limited-overs domestic circuit, including the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Despite his professional schedule, preparations for the wedding are understood to be underway.

Saaniya Chandok, the bride-to-be, is a veterinary doctor by training and is also listed as a designated partner and director at Mr Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP, a Mumbai-based pet care venture. According to official records from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, she plays an active role in the company’s operations and management.

Saaniya hails from a prominent Mumbai business family. Her grandfather, Ravi Iqbal Ghai, is the chairman of Graviss Hospitality Ltd, a diversified family-owned group with interests spanning hospitality and food businesses. The group traces its roots to the late Iqbal Krishan “IK” Ghai, who pioneered the iconic Kwality Ice Cream brand and was instrumental in establishing the InterContinental Hotel on Marine Drive.

Over the years, the Graviss Group expanded its footprint both in India and overseas, particularly in the Middle East, by setting up ice cream manufacturing units and strengthening exports. More recently, the group has diversified into newer ventures, including The Brooklyn Creamery, a health-focused ice cream brand. The company reported revenues of ₹624 crore in FY 2023–24, reflecting year-on-year growth, while Graviss Hospitality posted revenues of ₹56 crore in FY 2024–25.

While details of the wedding itinerary remain under wraps, sources indicate the ceremony will be held in Mumbai with a mix of family traditions and close-knit celebrations. With Arjun continuing to build his cricketing career and Saaniya pursuing her professional interests, the upcoming wedding marks a significant personal milestone for both.
