IPL 2025 was suspended midway on 9 May due to increasing tension between India and Pakistan. The situation was so serious that the foreign players hurriedly returned to their respective countries. Cricket Australia wrote on the social media platform X that their players will decide for themselves whether to go back to play or not, in which we are with them. The team management will work closely with all the players who will be part of the squad for the final match of the World Test Championship and decide to play in the IPL matches. At the same time, we are in constant touch with the Australian government and BCCI regarding the security arrangements.
