The exciting phase of the group stage in Asia Cup 2025 has ended and now the tournament has entered the Super-4 stage. A total of eight teams participated in the first stage, out of which four teams are now out of the tournament. Now a tough battle will be seen between India, Malaysia, South Korea and China to reach the final in the Super-4 stage.
India registered their third consecutive win in Group-A and maintained their form to enter the Super-4. India thrashed Kazakhstan 15-0, in which Abhishek, Sukhjeet and Jugraj registered hat-tricks. With this win, the team secured 9 points with three wins in three matches and topped Pool-A.
Malaysia and Korea also made it
Malaysia and South Korea entered the Super-4 from Pool-B. Malaysia defeated Chinese Taipei 15-0, while South Korea defeated Bangladesh 5-1. Malaysia won three matches consecutively and topped the group with 9 points, while Korea remained in second place with 6 points.
Now India's first match in the Super-4 will be against South Korea on 3 September. This match will prove to be a real test for the team, because the team's enthusiasm is at its peak in front of the home crowd.
China made its place on the basis of goal difference
The match between China and Japan in Group-A ended in a 2-2 draw. However, China scored 18 goals and Japan scored 11 goals in the tournament. Due to this, China secured its place in the Super-4 on the basis of better goal difference. Now in the Super-4, the teams of India, Malaysia, South Korea and China will fight to make a place in the final by winning their respective matches.
