India A secured a commanding five-wicket victory over Australia A in the second unofficial Test at Lucknow's Ekana Cricket Stadium on Thursday, chasing down a challenging target of 412 runs with a day to spare. The win gave the home side a 1-0 triumph in the two-match series.
Centurions KL Rahul and Sai Sudharsan Steer Chase
The victory was built on a magnificent, unbeaten 176 from 200 deliveries by KL Rahul, which earned him the Player of the Match award. He was ably supported by Sai Sudharsan, who scored a patient 100 from 172 balls.
The pair built a crucial 143-run partnership for the fourth wicket, laying a solid foundation for the chase after India A had lost nightwatchman Manav Suthar early on the final day. Captain Dhruv Jurel provided a brisk half-century (56 off 66 balls) in a 115-run stand with Rahul, bringing the target within reach.

After the first match ended in a draw due to rain interruptions, Australia A posted 420 in their first innings of the second Test, thanks to significant contributions from their lower order. India A's first innings, however, stumbled to 194 all out, with pacer Henry Thornton taking four wickets.
