Prithvi Shaw tries to hit Mumbai bowler: Maharashtra batter fights with former team player in friendly match

This incident occurred after Shaw scored a magnificent century (181 runs) against Mumbai, followed by a heated argument with Mumbai spinner Musheer Khan.

Maharashtra won the toss and chose to bat first. As an opening batsman, Shaw played a brilliant knock of 181 runs off 220 balls, which included 21 fours and three sixes. Moreover, his fellow opener, Arshin Kulkarni, also had a great start, scoring 186 runs off 140 balls, which included 33 fours and four sixes. The controversy began when Shaw was caught by Irfan Umair at the square leg boundary off Musheer Khan's delivery in the 74th over and returned to the pavilion. At that time, Maharashtra's score was 430 runs for three wickets.

According to media reports, after Shaw's dismissal, Musheer allegedly mocked him by saying "Thank You". Enraged by the gesture, Shaw advanced towards Musheer and tried to hit him with the bat. Maharashtra captain Ankit Bawne, downplaying the incident, said, "It's a practice match. They are all former teammates. Such things happen. It's all ok now and there is no issue."
