Patna Pirates beat Bengaluru Bulls in tie-breaker

3 surreal matches unfolded in New Delhi on Thursday night as the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) bandwagon inches closer to the playoffs.

Patna Pirates clinched a thrilling tiebreaker (6-4) against Bengaluru Bulls after the two teams were in a 38-38 deadlock at the end of regulation time.

Ayan Lohchab led the way with a Super 10, while Navdeep also contributed with four tackles. The key contribution in the tiebreaker came from Mandeep Kumar’s two-point raid. For the Bulls, Alireza’s ninth Super 10 went in vain despite them completing an eleven-point comeback in regulation time.

In the second encounter of the night, U Mumba were in complete control against the Telugu Titans, securing a dominant 33-26 win.

U Mumba’s win over the Titans, combined with Bengaluru Bulls’ loss to Patna Pirates, helped Dabang Delhi K.C. secure a spot in the top two of the points table.

Elsewhere, Haryana Steelers delivered a dominant display to register the biggest win margin of PKL 12, decimating UP Yoddhas 53-26 at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium.

The 27-point win also helped them climb to fifth place on the points table.

Jaideep Dahiya led the way with a High Five, and Shivam Patare also made his mark with a Super 10. Substitute Ghanshyam Magar also made his presence felt with eight raid points, while Neeraj secured four tackle points.
