WI vs AUS: Australia beat West Indies as Tim David’s historic century clinches series

Tim David smashed a record-breaking unbeaten 102 off 37 balls to power Australia to a six-wicket win and seal a 3–0 lead in the five-match T20I series against the West Indies

Australia cricket team has defeated West Indies 3-0 in the three-match T20 series at their home. Australia's Tim David played an important role in this victory in which he scored a century. This is David's historic century with which he has made a big record in his name.

On the basis of Tim David's stormy century, Australia defeated West Indies by six wickets in the third and final T20 match played at Warner Park. West Indies scored 214 runs by losing four wickets while batting first. Australia achieved this huge target in 16.1 overs by losing four wickets. With this, Australia has taken an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the five-match T20 series.

Tim David's century played an important role in Australia's victory. He scored a century in 37 balls which is the fastest century scored by an Australian batsman in T20 International. Before him, this record was in the name of Jose Inglis who scored a century against Scotland in 43 balls. David faced 37 balls in his innings and hit six fours and 11 sixes. He remained unbeaten after scoring 102 runs. Along with him, Mitchell Owen also remained unbeaten after scoring 36 runs.
