Film City to Be Developed in Nava Raipur, Tender Process to Begin Soon

A state-of-the-art Film City will be constructed in Nava Raipur to boost the entertainment industry. Authorities have announced that the tender process for the project will be initiated shortly.
A private company will build the proposed 'Chitrotpala Film City' in an area of about 70 acres in front of the Rajyotsav Sthal in Mana-Tuta of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. The committee headed by the Chief Secretary has approved the PPP model for the construction of the film city. Along with this, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has intensified its preparations for the construction of the film city. Now after the contract and tender conditions are finalized, there is a preparation to call tenders within a month for the selection of the construction agency. The work of construction of the proposed film city at a cost of about Rs 95 crore will start in the next few months.
According to the officials of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, land will be allotted to private investors for the construction of studios and other infrastructure on the PPP model in the film city. At the same time, e-buses will also run in the film city. An investment of about Rs 400 crore is expected in the film city. This will provide employment to hundreds of local artists and youth. The government claims that private investors, producers, artists associated with the film industry have been encouraged in the film city.
