 ACB-EOW Conduct Raids in Excise Scam Case Across 5 Cities

In a major crackdown on an alleged excise scam, the ACB and EOW carried out raids at over a dozen locations across five cities in the state, uncovering key evidence related to corruption and financial irregularities.

ACB-EOW has raided the hideouts of former Excise Minister Kawasi Lakhma and his close associates, who are in jail in the liquor scam case. According to sources, ACB-EOW raids are going on at a total of fifteen locations, including 13 in Sukma, Tongpal, Jagdalpur and Dantewada of Bastar division and 2 in Raipur.

50 lakh rupees were received every month

Let us tell you that an FIR has been registered against Kawasi Lakhma, who was the Excise Minister in the Bhupesh Baghel government, in the 2161 crore liquor scam. In the ED report, it has been mentioned that Kawasi Lakhma was given 50 lakh rupees every month as Excise Minister.

FIR was also registered against two former ministers in the liquor scam

In the liquor and coal scam case in Chhattisgarh, ED had registered a named FIR against 100 people including two former ministers, MLAs. These include the names of Kawasi Lakhma, who was the Excise Minister in the Congress government, Food Minister Amarjit Bhagat, former MLA UD Minj, Gulab Kamro, Shishupal.

In the liquor scam case, the ED had named Triple A i.e. IAS officer, Anwar Dhebar and Arunpati Tripathi as the masterminds of the scam. After which ACB-EOW is taking separate action in this case.
