Bulldozer Action in Chhattisgarh: Over 500 Carts, 30 Shops Cleared

Crackdown on illegal encroachments continues in Chhattisgarh as authorities remove over 500 carts and sheds linked to 30 shops. The action aims to restore public spaces.

The action of Nagar Panchayat against illegal encroachment in Kurud has been going on for a week. The Nagar Panchayat team is continuously taking action to remove the carts, hoardings, flex, sheds and name plates installed illegally on the roadside. During the action, more than 500 illegal carts, 300 flexes, 30 sheds and other encroachments have been removed by running bulldozers.

In fact, many shopkeepers were earlier issued notices and instructed to remove the encroachment, but despite this, they were doing business by setting up shops on the road. Due to this, traffic was getting obstructed and common citizens were facing great difficulties in commuting.

Nagar Panchayat CMO Mahendra Raj Gupta said that this action will continue continuously till June 12. He clarified that if any shopkeeper obstructs traffic by setting up shop illegally on the road in future, then strict action will be taken against him as well. Also, those whose encroachments have been removed are also being provided alternative and systematic places.

Due to this action, there has been a stir in the entire Kurud area, but the common citizens have called it a necessary step towards improving the traffic system of the city.
