Four Passenger Trains Cancelled for 9 Days, Hitting Rakshabandhan Travel

Rail authorities have suspended four passenger services for a nine-day stretch, citing operational reasons—a move expected to compound travel woes for devotees and families planning journeys during the busy Rakshabandhan period.

In the name of infrastructure development, the railway has again cancelled 4 passenger trains. Yard remodelling work will be carried out at Sambalpur station of East Coast Railway, due to which 4 trains will remain cancelled from 6 to 15 August. Cancellation of trains on Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day will increase the problems of passengers.

The railway administration says that the work of infrastructure development is going on at a fast pace. Non-interlocking work will be done for yard remodelling of Sambalpur station of Sambalpur division in East Coast Railway, due to which some trains passing through South East Central Railway will be affected.
