10-hour water shutdown in city tomorrow

Water supply from 32 tanks will remain closed for 10 hours in the morning due to repair work.

There will be no water supply from 32 water tanks of the capital Raipur on the morning of 13th. By shutting off the water supply on Saturday morning, the water supply department of the corporation will repair 5 out of 7 pipelines running along Bhatgaon Main Road after finding leakage. For this, the tanks will not be filled for supply on Saturday morning due to a 10-hour shutdown after water supply on Friday evening.

Executive engineer of the water works department in the corporation, Narsingh Farendra, said that leakage has been detected near Bhatgaon Chowk in the 1400 mm diameter HS rising pipeline of the raw water of the 150 MLD filter plant. This 10-hour shutdown is to be taken on Friday night for its repair.

He informed that due to the above repair work, there will be no water supply on Saturday morning from the tanks Bhatgaon, Changorabhatha, Kushalpur, DD Nagar, Idgahbhatha, Sarona, Tatibandh, Kota, Kabir Nagar, Jarwai, Gogaon, Mathpuraina, Lalpur, Amlidih, Avanti Vihar, Mandi, Mowa, Sadhu, Daldalseoni, Ramnagar, Kachana, Amasivani, Devpuri, Boriyakhurd, Jora, Bhanpuri Naya, Raipura, Kukurbera and the tanks Baronbazar Naya, Devendra Nagar Naya, Sanjay Nagar and Moti Bagh tanks which are filled from the 150 MLD filter plant after the water supply on Friday evening. Water supply will be restored as usual from Saturday evening.
