During the inspection, officials made it clear that the district would not allow illegal paddy transportation under any circumstances. Staff were directed to maintain strict vigilance, particularly on consignments arriving from other districts and states. They were also told to thoroughly inspect suspicious vehicles and take immediate action if any irregularities were detected.
To curb unauthorized paddy movement, the administration has set up 12 check-posts across the district. Teams comprising officials from the Mandi Board, Food Department, Police, Cooperative Department, and Revenue Department have been deployed in three shifts at each location. Authorities have also instructed personnel to maintain close watch on agents and middlemen involved in paddy trading.
