5 Naxalites Killed, Bodies Recovered, Encounter Continues
Security forces gunned down five Naxalites in an intense encounter, recovering all bodies from the site. The operation is still ongoing as forces continue combing the area for more insurgents.
The biggest anti-Naxal operation is being conducted against Naxalites on the border of Bijapur and Telangana in Chhattisgarh. Security forces have got success in this operation. The figures of Naxalites killed in the encounter have started coming. The soldiers have killed five Naxalites in the encounter. According to sources, the bodies and weapons of all five Naxalites have been recovered. The encounter is still going on. However, it has not been officially confirmed.

It is being told that since Tuesday morning, more than 5 thousand soldiers deployed on the Naxal front have surrounded the Naxalites of Battalion No. 1 of the Maoist organization. Continuous firing is going on from both sides. This encounter has been going on for 30 hours on the hill of Karregatta, Nadpalli, Pujari Kanker. In this encounter, soldiers from Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Maharashtra have taken the front. So far, more than 100 IEDs have been found, which were planted with the aim of targeting the soldiers.

Battalion number 1, 2 and other companies of Naxalites are active in this area. It is being told that more than 100 Naxalites are present on the spot. Naxalites of big cadres like Central Committee of Andhra-Telangana-Maharashtra, DKSZCM (Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee), DVCM (Divisional Committee Member), ACM (Area Committee Member), Organization Secretary, including top Naxalite leaders Hidma, Deva, Vikas are also present here.
Most wanted Maoist leader Hidma is hiding in a bunker
Security forces believe that most wanted Maoist leader Hidma is hiding in a bunker in Karreguttalu. Company-1 of the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) led by Hidma, along with other top Maoist leaders Damdodar and Azad, has fortified the area. The security forces are moving with extreme caution, suspecting the presence of landmines and other traps. The situation has created an atmosphere of high tension in the surrounding villages including Penugolu, Kongala, Arunachalapuram and Bolarum as well as border villages like Malappuram, Lakshmipuram, Mutharapuram and Sitarampuram. Villagers have been urged to stay away from these areas as the forested hills of Karreguttalu, spread over about 280 square kilometres, remain the focal point of this high-stakes operation.
