Under the Swachh Ganeshotsav Abhiyan 2025, as per the guidelines of the State Urban Development Agency of the Urban Administration and Development Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh, Raipur Municipal Corporation has prepared an immersion pond near Mahadevghat Kharun River. On September 11, for the sixth consecutive day, till 7 pm, devotees immersed 4080 small idols and 1851 big idols of Shri Ganesh by worshiping them with reverence and devotion. During this, the devotees also prayed to Lord Shri Ganesh for an early arrival next year.
The team of the Municipal Corporation Health Department continuously maintained cleanliness by running a special cleaning campaign on the route routes with the help of road vacuum cleaner machine Jatayu vehicle in the Shri Ganesh immersion tableau route, cleanliness was maintained by picking up garbage by deploying a cleaning team in the immersion tableau route and with the help of JCB machine.
The Raipur District Administration imposed extensive duty for continuous monitoring and arrangements from 6 am on September 6 to 6 am on September 12. During this time, teams of Municipal Corporation Headquarters and zones including Police Administration, Traffic Department, Electricity Power Company, Fire Department, Home Guard, Health Department, Public Works Department and PHE Department remained active for 24 hours continuously. The corporation administration ensured duty in three shifts of 8 hours each. With the cooperation of Sanskrit College, 10 Pandits, 5 crane vehicles, 80 divers and boats were also arranged.
Under the Swachh Ganesh Utsav Abhiyan 2025, Municipal Corporation Raipur kept temporary immersion ponds for the convenience of Shri Ganesh devotees in about 3 dozen main ponds of the city including Budhatalaab, Telibandha pond, Kankali pond, where a large number of devotees reached and immersed small idols of Shri Ganesh with devotion. A large number of children, youth and women from the localities immersed small idols of Shri Ganesh in the temporary immersion ponds of the ponds and bid farewell to Ganpati Bappa with moist eyes. Reaching various ponds, a large number of Shri Ganesh devotees performed devotional immersion in the temporary immersion pond and a large number of people spontaneously participated in the public welfare campaign to protect the environment of Kharun River and the ponds of the city.
