A tragic landmine blast by Maoists during a search operation resulted in the martyrdom of three policemen and left many others injured. Authorities are intensifying efforts to combat insurgent activities in the region.

Bijapur. Three policemen were martyred and many injured in a landmine blast in Mulugu district of Telangana. This incident took place in a forest area near Venkatpuram. Maoists detonated a landmine during police search. The landmine blast has created a stir in the backdrop of Operation Kagar being carried out on the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border.

Let us tell you that the Naxalites gathered on the hills of Karregutta, the last stronghold of Naxalites in Chhattisgarh, have been surrounded by security forces from Chhattisgarh as well as neighboring states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The importance of this operation can be gauged from the fact that CRPF DG Gyanendra Pratap Singh was keeping an eye from Delhi.
