Finally, after 8 days of hard work, the picture of the tiger has been captured on camera in Arsiknhar Reserve, which was of Saturday night. After this, on Sunday evening also, the picture of the tiger hunting a bull was captured on camera.
DFO of Sitanadi-Udanti Tiger Reserve, Varun Jain said that the presence of the tiger has been confirmed after 8 days. Now it is being ascertained from which state the tiger has come. For this, the pictures are being sent to the Wildlife Institute of India located in Dehradun.
Let us tell you, no traces of the tiger were found in the Tiger Reserve for the last two and a half years. But due to getting a favorable environment, now many other wild animals including tigers have also started coming here. Earlier, it reached here from Madhya Pradesh in 2019 and from Telangana via Maharashtra in October 2022. Now after two and a half years, the presence of tiger has returned again in 2025.
Forest department's efforts successful in creating a favorable environment
In fact, the forest department is getting success in creating a favorable environment for wild animals in the sanctuary spread over 1852 square kilometers. In the last one and a half years, 250 encroachers who encroached 700 hectares of forest in the buffer zone have been driven away by taking action. Poaching gangs are active in Nuapada and Nawarangpur districts of Odisha in the sanctuary area. The anti-poaching team has also conducted operations against them several times.
At the same time, for the first time in the summer season, the sanctuary administration filled 8 large ponds located in the dense forests in the core zone with water through solar pumps. Also, more than 1000 jherias were built in the tiger corridor. Now the presence of tigers and other wild animals shows that the sanctuary administration has been successful in providing them a favourable environment.
