BEO Sheikh Rafiq Suspended Over Negligence in Rationalization

Dantewada. In Chhattisgarh, negligence in rationalization of schools and teachers cost Geedam BEO Sheikh Rafiq dearly. After the matter came to light, action was taken against the BEO and he was suspended with immediate effect. An order has been issued from the Collector's office in this regard.

BEO Sheikh Rafiq of Vikaskhand Geedam has been accused of serious negligence in the rationalization process. The investigation revealed that he deliberately kept the vacant posts of 31 ashram schools of the development block out of the rationalization process by forging documents, due to which 20 teachers had to choose the institution through counseling in other institutions. Apart from this, the seniority list of teachers was arbitrarily changed. Ashram superintendents were to be kept free from surplus, but this was not followed. At the same time, teachers working in special institutions and disabled persons as per the instructions of the government were also to be kept out of the rationalization process, but the BEO included them in the process as well. Notably, visually impaired teacher Rajkumar Jain was put on the surplus list, which is clearly against the rules.
