Drunk Driver Hits Two Bikes, 4 Youths Dead

A horrific road accident took the lives of four people last night in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district of Chhattisgarh. A drunk car driver hit two bikes with great force. Three youths died after the head-on collision. The seriously injured girl died on the way while being taken for treatment. The incident took place near village Sevara under Pendra police station.

According to the information, Snehil Gupta, a resident of Marwahi, was going towards Pendra at a high speed in a Brezza car (CG31B2536). Drunk Snehil's car collided with two motorcycles coming from Marwahi. The accident was so severe that three youths riding on both the bikes died on the spot. The seriously injured girl was immediately taken to Bilaspur, but she died on the way.

The police have arrested the accused and a case has been registered against him under several serious sections including unintentional murder. Additional Superintendent of Police Om Chandel said that the accused is undergoing treatment at the district hospital.
