Eviction Notice Issued to 18 Brick-Kiln Operators on Govt Land

Eighteen individuals operating a brick kiln on government land in Sehore district have received eviction notices from authorities. The Mineral Department, acting under mining regulations, is preparing further action—including potential demolition of structures and confiscation of raw materials—if the kiln operators fail to vacate or lack proper permits.

The impact of the news of illegal operation of brick kilns on government land in Takhatpur has been seen, the administrative staff which came into action has issued eviction orders to 18 people, while the Mineral Department is also preparing to take action by issuing notices to 18 people.

The matter is of Village Panchayat Vijaypur of Takhatpur district area, where people coming from Madhya Pradesh are operating illegal brick kilns on government land under the nose of the administration. Due to this, the environment is getting polluted due to illegal digging in the nearby river as well as the smoke of coal coming out of the kiln. Apart from this, the villagers are facing a lot of problems.

The villagers were constantly complaining about the illegal brick kiln, but the administrative staff was being negligent in taking action.

In the case, District Mineral Officer Ramkant Soni said that notices have been issued to 18 people and answers have been sought. Penalty action will be taken if a satisfactory answer is not received. And further action will continue against those operating such illegal brick kilns in the area.
