₹43 Lakh Fraud in Government Job Racket: Police Take Action Against Bribe Giver and Taker
Takhatpur,C.G
A major scam involving ₹43 lakh for a fake government job has surfaced, where the police have taken action against both the person who offered the bribe and the one who promised the job. The crackdown highlights a growing trend of accountability on both sides of such fraudulent deals. Investigations are ongoing to expose the full network behind the scam.
Taking action against those who cheated Rs 43,00,000 in the name of getting government jobs on the posts of food inspector, hostel superintendent, patwari and the person who gave money for getting the job, Takhatpur police has arrested three people and sent them to jail, while one accused is already in jail in another case. This is the first time that in such a case of fraud, action has been taken simultaneously against both the fraud and the victim.
According to the information, 55-year-old Suryakant Jaiswal, resident of Nature City Police Station Sakri, Bilaspur, had contacted Vishnu Prasad Rajput (67 years), resident of Nigarband, to get his two sons and one daughter appointed on government posts of food inspector, hostel superintendent and patwari. Vishnu Prasad introduced him to his son Aneesh Rajput, who claimed to get him a government job.
Falling into the trap of the accused, Suryakant gave a total of Rs 43 lakh in installments to Anish Rajput and Javed Khan alias Raja (resident Titli Chowk, Torwa) between 8 February 2022 and 5 June 2023. To assure the safety of the money, a cheque of Javed's wife Seema Soni's account was also given, but after making him run around for a long time and not returning the money, Suryakant finally lodged a report at the Takhatpur police station.
After the investigation in the case was completed on June 29, the police arrested Anish's father Vishnu Rajput, Seema Soni and Suryakant Jaiswal himself under fraud (section 420). At the same time, the fourth accused Javed Khan is already lodged in Bilaspur jail in another fraud case.
Takhtpur police station in-charge Anil Kumar Agarwal said that this is the first time in Takhatpur police station of Bilaspur district that action has been taken against the person who took money for getting a government job as well as the person who gave the money. This will create awareness among people that any work should always be done as per the prescribed procedure and one should not fall prey to fraud in greed for a job.
