In a move towards digital convenience, Chhattisgarh has started sending property registry documents directly to buyers via WhatsApp after registration.
The registration offices of Chhattisgarh have taken important steps towards paperless registry. Now the parties will get the soft copy of the registry through e-mail or Whatsapp. Also, the registration department has been connected to DG Locker, so that the parties can keep their documents safe directly in DG Locker. Those who do not have e-mail or Whatsapp, will be provided hard copies from the registration office. This system will be implemented soon, so that the parties will not have to visit the office.
Under the new system, the identity of the parties will be ensured through e-KYC and Aadhaar verification, which will stop fraud. The possibility of tampering with digital documents will be eliminated and the data will always be available online. Land details and location will also be available through Sugam App, which will reduce time and paperwork.
