6,000 Sisters to Tie Rakhi to 3,009 Imprisoned Brothers; One Sweet Allowed

On Rakshabandhan, 6,000 sisters will visit jails to tie Rakhi to 3,009 inmates. As per jail rules, only one specific sweet will be permitted during the celebrations.
Like last year, this year also sisters will tie rakhi on the wrists of prisoners lodged in the central jail on Rakhi, the festival of the unbreakable bond between brother and sister. Guidelines have been issued by the Headquarters Jail and Correctional Services Chhattisgarh Government in view of Rakshabandhan. In view of which, arrangements are being made by the jail administration on Rakhi. Preparations are going on in the central jail for this.
Strict arrangements are being made in view of security. The jail administration is putting up tents and barricades outside and inside the premises. So that the sisters coming on Rakshabandhan do not face any problem. Also, they can manage the arrangements. The festival of Rakhi holds special importance in the central jail. On this day, sisters bring rakhi from far away places to the prisoners serving sentence in the jail. And as soon as the rakhi thread is tied to the brothers, tears well up in their eyes. There are currently 3009 prisoners in the central jail. More than 6 thousand sisters will come to tie rakhi to them. The jail administration has started preparations for this.
