CM Sai Pays Tribute to Rajni Upasane

CM Sai honored Raipur's first woman MLA, Rajni Upasane, highlighting her simplicity, honesty, and strong bond with society that gave her a unique identity.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today reached the residence of Raipur's first woman MLA and social worker late Mrs. Rajni Tai Upasane at Police Line in the capital Raipur and paid tribute to her. He recalled the contributions of Rajni Tai Upasane and met the bereaved family and consoled them. Former Rajya Sabha MP Kailash Soni, Santosh Sharma, Jagdish Upasane and family members were present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the death of Rajni Tai is an irreparable loss for the entire society. The courage and patience she displayed during the difficult period of Emergency is inspiring. During her tenure, she gave top priority to the interests of the people and the development of Raipur. She got a unique identity due to her simplicity, honesty and deep connection with the society. She remained continuously active for the rights of women and the underprivileged sections. Sai prayed to God for the peace of the departed soul.
It is noteworthy that Raipur's first woman MLA and social worker Mrs. Rajni Tai Upasane passed away recently at the age of 92. In 1977, she created history by winning the election from Janata Party and became the first woman MLA of Raipur. In those days when the participation of women in politics was limited, winning the trust of the people was a symbol of her courage and struggle.
