Under-Construction Culvert Bridge Washed Away

An under-construction culvert bridge was washed away by river water, causing major inconvenience for villagers and disrupting connectivity in the area.

After the bridge over the Gobari River collapsed due to heavy rains, a new culvert was being constructed. However, the bridge was washed away by the strong current, exacerbating the villagers' problems. People have to travel a long distance to get to the other side of the village. Despite numerous inspections by responsible officials, the bridge's destruction has left the villagers disappointed.

According to reports, the bridge over the Gobari River collapsed at the beginning of this monsoon season. The villagers had demanded a new bridge. It is reported that a decision was made to build a culvert bridge at a cost of approximately 10 lakh rupees. However, the bridge under construction was washed away before approval was received.

Villagers' Troubles Increased
Construction of the culvert bridge began only 1-2 months ago at the villagers' request. The washing away of the culvert bridge has once again caused disappointment for the villagers. They now have to travel a longer distance to get around.
