President to Inaugurate Projects Linked to Sacred Sites in Chhattisgarh

President Droupadi Murmu will visit Chhattisgarh on November 20. She will participate in the programmes organized in Ambikapur on the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

According to information, during her visit, the President may inaugurate two schemes related to traditional healers and sacred sites. The first scheme focuses on traditional healers (vaidyas). Under the Chief Minister Vaidyaraj Samman Nidhi, such healers will receive an annual honorarium of ₹5,000 through DBT. Their selection will take place at three levels.

Fifty selected vaidyas have been invited to the event, out of which 5–10 will be felicitated on stage by the President.

President to Felicitate Winners of Tribal Dance Festival

For the first time, Chhattisgarh is hosting the North Zone Tribal Folk Dance Festival. It began at the village level, followed by district-level competitions where the top three winners received ₹50,000, ₹25,000, and ₹15,000, respectively.

The state-level competition will be held on November 19. The winner will receive ₹2 lakh from the President, while the second and third-place winners will receive ₹1 lakh and ₹50,000.

Two-Day Celebration in Ambikapur

A two-day programme will be organized on November 19 and 20 at the PG College Ground in Ambikapur to mark Tribal Pride Day. The main attraction of the event will be the presence of President Droupadi Murmu, who will attend as the chief guest and engage with the state’s tribal communities.

Preparations for the President’s arrival have been completed. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will also attend the programme.

Showcasing the State’s Tribal Heritage

During the President’s visit, the event will prominently highlight the rich cultural traditions of Chhattisgarh’s tribal communities.

According to officials, the minister has instructed all departments to work with sensitivity and enthusiasm. Special emphasis will be given to tribal dance, folk art, music, and cultural performances during the event.
