The 21st Sub-Junior and 30th Junior National Korfball Championship will be held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu from 24 to 27 July 2025. Many players from Surguja district have been selected in the Chhattisgarh state team for this prestigious competition. Abhishek Sharma, Shreya Upadhyay and Vibha Sonwani have been selected in the junior category, while Rudrakshi Jain, Sanjana Minj, Rajnikanta, Ritwik Raj Gupta and Ayush Bari have got a place in the team in the sub-junior category.
National coach Rajesh Pratap Singh said that these players have made their place in the team on the basis of hard work and excellent performance. It is a matter of pride for Surguja district that such a large number of players have been selected from here for the national level competition.
All the officials, coaches and parents of the District Korfball Association have congratulated the selected players and wished them a bright future.
