The Chhattisgarh government has increased the last date for admission in all educational institutions of the state keeping in mind the convenience of the students. As per the order issued by the Higher Education Department on the instructions of Higher Education Minister Tankaram Verma, now the last date for the admission process for the academic session 2025-26 has been extended till September 5.

It is worth noting that earlier the last date for admission in educational institutions under the Higher Education Department was fixed as August 14. In view of the vacant seats, it has been decided to extend the date of admission. The last date for the admission process has now been extended to September 5 for the convenience of the students. This decision will provide relief to those students who could not complete the admission process by the pre-determined deadline due to some reason. Now they will be able to take admission in colleges by the new date prescribed.

Welcoming this decision of the government, the students and parents said that this will secure the future of thousands of students and they will get an opportunity to get higher education. A copy of this order of the Higher Education Department has been sent to all universities, government colleges and concerned officials.
