Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is set to embark on political and industrial visits following the conclusion of the state’s Rajyotsav celebrations.
On November 6, the Chief Minister will visit Nuapada, Odisha, to address a public rally in support of BJP candidate Jay Dholakia for the upcoming Assembly by-election. Sai will travel from Raipur to Nuapada by helicopter and return after the rally.
Voting in the Nuapada constituency is scheduled for November 11, and the BJP has intensified its campaign efforts. The party expects Sai’s rally to further strengthen its position in the region. BJP’s Jay Dholakia is contesting against BJD’s Snehangini Chhuria and Congress’s Ghasiaram Majhi, while candidates from the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Mukti Party, and Odisha Janata Dal have made the contest multi-cornered.
The BJP’s national leadership has assigned senior leaders from Chhattisgarh key responsibilities in the Bihar and Odisha by-elections, viewing Sai’s participation as strategically significant for consolidating the party’s organization in Odisha.
After his Odisha visit, CM Sai will head to Gujarat on November 10 and 11 to attend the ‘Chhattisgarh Investor Connect’ event in Ahmedabad. During his visit, he will hold one-on-one discussions with industrialists and potential investors to promote business opportunities in Chhattisgarh.
Before that, he will participate in a program at the Statue of Unity in Narmada district, followed by investor meetings in Ahmedabad the next day. Sai will present the state’s new industrial policy, investment promotion initiatives, and its business-friendly environment, aiming to position Chhattisgarh as an attractive destination for industrial and economic growth.
