Agri Stack Portal: Khasra Mismatch for 3.5 Lakh Farmers

Data discrepancies found as Khasra details of 3.5 lakh registered farmers fail to match on the Agri Stack Portal.

Due to technical issues with the Agri Stack portal in Chhattisgarh, the pace of farmer registration is slow. So far, only a little over 1.315 million farmers in the state have been able to register on the Agri Stack portal. However, there are over 57,000 farmers whose registrations are unavailable on the Agri Stack portal. Of these, approximately 350,000 farmers have registered, but their land records do not match. This is causing difficulties for departmental staff in the field. Despite this, on average, only 50% of farmers have been able to register compared to last year, and even among these, the land records of many farmers do not match.

This year, farmers are facing significant difficulties in registering before the paddy procurement. A total of 1.373 million farmers have registered in the state so far. Of these, the number of farmers registered on the Agri Stack portal is just over 1.315 million. Although registrations are still open until October, it is believed that the number of registered farmers will increase during this period. So far, 966,000 farmers have been registered, and their land records have been matched. If their land records do not match, these farmers may face further documentation hassles. Balod, Bemetara, and Baloda Bazar are the only districts where the number of farmers registered on the AgriStack portal has exceeded one lakh. However, even in these districts, thousands of farmers have mismatched land records. In Janjgir Champa district, 74,172 farmers have registered on the AgriStack portal, but the land records of over 30,000 of these farmers do not match. A similar situation exists in other districts as well. The department claims that this figure is changing daily. In the future, more and more farmers will register.

Last year, there were over 2.5 million farmers.
Last year, in 2024-25, over 2.549 million registered farmers sold their paddy at the support price. According to data from Agri Stack and the Unified Portal, as of September 17th, 15,419 farmers had not registered with Agri Stack. These farmers are apparently facing technical difficulties. Similarly, the picture regarding the registration of millions of farmers remains unclear.
