AIIMS Raipur Launches Mobile Hospital for Emergencies and Naxal Incidents

AIIMS Raipur now has a state-of-the-art mobile hospital capable of treating up to 200 patients during Naxalite attacks or natural disasters. Equipped with rapid diagnostic tools, it can generate reports within minutes, ensuring swift medical response.
The world's first portable hospital has been prepared under the Arogya Maitri project. This portable hospital can save 200 lives in a natural disaster in remote places. This portable hospital with a capacity of 200 people has two pallet stands. Its total weight is 800 kg. Both pallets have 72 cubes. Each cube weighs 20 kg. These cubes are fire and water proof. It can be transported by air, water or road. In remote places and natural disasters, the cubes can be separated and carried on foot, bicycle or any small vehicle. That is, you can simply call it a mobile hospital. Now this hospital has reached Raipur AIIMS and an awareness campaign will be run about how it works and after reaching here, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal inaugurated it.
What are its benefits?
Different cubes will have different items. Some will have rescue items. Rescue items will have stretchers, beds and other necessary things. One cube will have surgical equipment, OT equipment and related equipment. Another will have laboratory equipment. 20 types of tests can be done in this lab. It also has an X-ray machine, this machine does an X-ray in a few seconds.
