Alert in Chhattisgarh After Delhi Blast: Raipur, Major Cities on High Alert, Security Tightened at Crowded Locations

After a deadly car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort that killed 11 people, the Chhattisgarh Police has been placed on high alert. Security checks have been intensified across the state, including Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, and other districts. Police teams are conducting thorough inspections at bus stands, railway stations, airports, shopping malls, and public gathering areas.
Police patrols intensified across Raipur
Senior police officials have directed all SHOs and station officers to enhance vigilance in crowded and sensitive locations. Additional patrolling has been ordered in markets, religious places, and key public spots.
Raipur SSP Lakhan Patle confirmed that all security agencies are working in coordination to prevent any untoward incident.
He said strict action will be taken against any suspicious activity or individuals found spreading rumors or creating panic.
Real-time monitoring from control rooms
DCPs and SPs across the state have been instructed to maintain round-the-clock monitoring through command and control centers. CCTV surveillance has been stepped up to detect suspicious vehicles, abandoned objects, or unusual movements.
Officers stationed in the Daksh Control Room are closely watching live camera feeds to ensure swift response in case of emergencies.
Social media under strict watch
Along with ground security, Chhattisgarh Police has increased digital monitoring. Teams are tracking social media platforms to prevent the spread of fake news, misinformation, or panic-inducing content.
Range IGPs and Commissioners have been asked to take immediate action against accounts or posts promoting rumors related to the Delhi blast.
Officials said coordination between cyber cell, local police stations, and intelligence units is being strengthened to maintain peace and public confidence across the state.
