Following a successful anti-Naxal operation, the bodies of the killed Naxalites are being airlifted to the district headquarters. Soldiers celebrate this significant triumph against insurgency.

The bodies of 27 Naxalites, including Basav Raju, who were killed in an encounter in the Abujhmad forest, were airlifted to the Narayanpur district headquarters. All the senior officials associated with the Naxal operation are also present at the district headquarters at this time. Let us tell you, a major operation was going on against the Naxalites in Abujhmad, the border area of ​​​​Narayanpur, Bijapur and Dantewada in Chhattisgarh. On May 19, 2025, based on the strong inputs of the presence of Maoist leaders in the Abujhmad area, DRG teams of different districts had gone out on a search operation. Meanwhile, on the morning of 21 May, the Maoist squad started indiscriminate firing on the security forces, in response to which the security forces took bold and strategic action and killed 27 Naxalites including Maoist General Secretary and top leader Nambala Keshav Rao alias Basavaraju, BR Dada, Gaganna.

Even after killing top Maoist leader Nambala Keshav Rao alias Basavaraju a day earlier, the operation of the security forces is still going on. DRG has killed five Naxalites in the ongoing encounter in the forests of Pidia under Gangaluur police station area. During this, two soldiers are reported to be injured.

2 soldiers martyred
During the Abujhmad operation yesterday on 21 May at around 7 pm, DRG Bijapur soldier Ramesh Hemla was martyred after coming under the grip of IED. Earlier on May 21, DRG team member Khotluram Korram, a resident of village Bhatbeda of Auracha police station area of ​​Narayanpur district, was martyred while bravely facing the Naxalite attack in the morning. The bodies of both the martyred soldiers are being brought to the Narayanpur district headquarters, where they will be given a final farewell with respect. Some other soldiers have been injured, who were provided immediate treatment and all are out of danger.
