The Urban Administration Department has given strict instructions to all the urban body commissioners and municipal officials of the state regarding illegal plotting. The officers have been directed that they should not only take action to demolish the plotting on receiving a complaint of illegal plotting, but also register an FIR against the responsible people.

The Urban Administration Department has said in its letter that complaints of illegal plotting are being received continuously in the bodies of the state. Whereas there are clear provisions against it in the Municipal Corporation and Municipality Act. Now action will also be taken against those who approve the map for illegal plotting. The body officers have been told that if any officer/employee approves the building map in a colony with illegal plotting or gives permission for electricity or water supply connection, then action should also be taken against them under the sections of the Act. Revenue and Disaster Management Department, City and Village Investor Department should also be informed for necessary action in cases of illegal plotting.
