Bike Collides with Stationary Truck, Two Youths Die in Tragic Accident

In a tragic road accident in Charcha police station area of Korea district on Monday night, two youths lost their lives. On National Highway-43, a speeding bike collided with a truck parked on the roadside, causing both riders to die on the spot. The impact was so severe that both suffered fatal head injuries.
High Speed Led to Fatality
According to reports, Virendra Rajwade (22) of Bishunpur was returning from Bakunthpur on a bike with his relative Naresh Rajwade (21) of Basdeyi, Surajpur. Around 12:30 am, their bike collided with a stationary truck (Registration: CG 15 CL 0103) on NH-43. The collision was so strong that both riders were thrown off the bike onto the road.
Accident Occurred Close to Home
Locals said the accident happened just 500 meters from Virendra’s home. The youths were nearly home when tragedy struck. Upon receiving the news, Charcha SHO Pramod Pandey, along with police personnel, rushed to the scene and sent the injured to the district hospital via Sanjeevani Express, where doctors declared both dead.
No Helmets Worn
Investigations revealed that neither of the youths was wearing a helmet. Their deaths were caused by severe head injuries. The police have seized the truck and begun further investigations.
Possible Cause: Glare from Oncoming Vehicle
Although no eyewitnesses have come forward, it is believed that the glare from the headlights of an oncoming vehicle prevented the youths from noticing the truck, leading to the collision.
Grief in Families
The news of the accident devastated both families. Virendra and Naresh were reportedly the only sons of their respective families. The village is in mourning.
Police Investigation Ongoing
Charcha police have registered a case and begun searching for the truck owner and driver. The bodies have been post-mortemed and handed over to the families.
