BJP Intensifies Election Preparations in Nuapada, CM Vishnudev Sai Holds Massive Rally

The BJP has stepped up its campaign for the Nuapada Assembly by-election in Odisha, with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai addressing a large public meeting in Panchampur today in support of the party’s candidate. As one of the party’s star campaigners, Sai is playing an active role in the by-election following organizational directives.

The rally was attended by MLA Purandar Mishra and party co-in-charge Lata Usendi.

Before leaving for Odisha, CM Sai told the media in Raipur, “BJP’s victory in Nuapada is certain. The public now understands that BJP guarantees development.”

Seat Vacant After Demise of BJD Leader

The Nuapada seat fell vacant following the death of BJD leader Rajendra Dholakia. Voting is scheduled for November 11, with counting on November 14. BJP has released a list of 40 star campaigners for the by-election, including Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Chhattisgarh CM Vishnudev Sai. The party is focusing its campaign on “development, transparency, and good governance.”

Immediate Action on Farmers’ Complaints

Before leaving for Odisha, CM Sai also addressed complaints related to the AgriStat portal. Some farmers reported discrepancies in recorded land area despite registration. Sai directed officials to correct e-KYC errors and remove duplicate entries. He noted that over 100,000 more farmers registered this year compared to last year, reflecting trust in government schemes. Paddy procurement will begin on November 15, with a command control center established to ensure full transparency.

Support for NDA in Bihar

Prior to his Odisha visit, CM Sai addressed an NDA rally in Patna, criticizing opposition parties. “RJD and Congress had exploited the public. Now, the people of Bihar are showing trust in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. The NDA government is set to secure a clear majority,” he said.

Political Analysis

Political analysts note that BJP views the Nuapada by-election as an opportunity to expand its influence in border states. CM Vishnudev Sai’s campaign is part of a strategy to strengthen the party’s presence in western Odisha. The BJP is emphasizing development and good governance, while BJD is mobilizing all resources to retain the seat.
