Korba. A massive fire broke out this morning at Rani Dhanraj Kumar Community Health Center in Korba, Chhattisgarh. As soon as the information about the fire was received, there was panic among the patients, their relatives and the staff. The patients were somehow evacuated safely from the hospital. As soon as the information about the incident was received, senior officials of the Health Department and Kotwali Police Station reached the spot. With the help of several fire engines, the fire could be controlled after a lot of hard work.

According to the information, the fire broke out in the store room located on the third floor of the hospital. Initial investigation found that the accident occurred due to a short circuit in the oxygen concentrator. After the incident of arson, the family members were forced to sit on the roadside outside the hospital with the pregnant woman and the newborn baby. It is a matter of relief that there was no major loss of life and property in this accident, but if the fire was not controlled in time, a major accident could have happened. The patient, his family and the staff narrowly escaped.
