Bulldozer Action in Ambikapur: Forest Land Encroachments Removed

The administration launched a bulldozer drive in Ambikapur to clear illegal encroachments from forest land. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw termed the action necessary and justified.

In village Chorkha Kachhar of Ambikapur, on Saturday, the administration's bulldozer ran on the houses built by encroaching on forest land. Forest staff and revenue team along with more than 500 police force are present on the spot to deal with the unpleasant situation.

According to the information, the Forest Department had earlier issued a notice to remove the encroachment of 39 houses built by illegally encroaching on forest land in village Chorkha Kachhar. Even after this, after the encroachers did not take action, today the administration started running the bulldozer.

On the ongoing encroachment removal campaign in Ambikapur, Raigarh and other districts of the state, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw said that the government gives opportunity to those who have encroachment on government land by giving them notice. If the encroachment is not removed then there is no other option. Illegal encroachment causes problems to the common people, so it is necessary to remove illegal encroachment.
