The Chhattisgarh government has announced contractual recruitment for 150 positions in a medical college to address staff shortages and enhance healthcare services. Raipur. Contract recruitment is being done for the vacant posts of various departments in Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Smriti Medical College. Interview will be held today on 4th June for recruitment to 150 Assistant Professors, Senior Residents and other posts. Due to the vacancies, not only the studies in the medical college, but also the treatment in other departments including the heart of Ambedkar Hospital is getting affected. Dozens of posts are vacant in various departments of the medical college. Regular recruitment has not been done on these posts for a long time.
The medical teachers and doctors who come on contract also leave the job after two-three years. This has a direct impact on the medical system of Ambedkar Hospital. It is said that the salary is low even in contract and most of the doctors either do private practice or go to private hospitals on a hefty salary. Contract recruitment is being done for 150 posts by the medical college administration.
According to the information received, the contractual recruitment is being done on the following posts: 53 posts of Assistant Professor, 10 posts of Regular Senior Resident, 61 posts of Contract Senior Resident, 3 posts of Demonstrator, 11 posts of Assistant Professor for the Department of Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery, 10 posts of Senior Resident, 1 post of Junior Research Scientist and 1 post of Scientific Officer. The contractual recruitment will be done as per the reservation roster. The interview for these posts has been scheduled for tomorrow, 4th June.
