 300 School Buses Uninspected, Action to Be Taken

around 300 school buses have not undergone mandatory inspection. Authorities have warned of strict action against schools violating safety norms.

 

Traffic police and transport department inspected school buses transporting students on Saturday and Sunday. Technical flaws were found in more than 100 of the five hundred and fifty buses inspected. Instructions have been given to remove them. It is reported that many school managements have not got their buses inspected. Such schools have been warned that the concerned buses will be blacklisted. The transport department has also prepared a list of about 300 buses. Which were not brought to Pandri bus stand for inspection. The camp will continue on 19-20 June as well.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police Traffic Dr. Prashant Shukla, information has been received that educational institutions in Raipur district have nine hundred buses. About five hundred and fifty buses were inspected last Saturday and Sunday. The school management has been given two days to get three hundred to three hundred and fifty buses inspected. If the inspection is not done at the bus stand in two days, then action has been warned. There is a suspicion that the buses are not being inspected due to technical faults and lack of documents and school children are being transported through them. In the coming days, the police and the transport department will inspect school buses on the roads. Action will also be taken if any technical fault is found.
