CG Weather Update: Rain Delays, More Wait Expected

The wait for rain continues in Chhattisgarh as weather forecasts suggest it may take a few more days before the showers arrive.

These days people are troubled by the scorching heat and humidity. Its effect is not limited to humans only but has started affecting animals and plants as well. This can be understood from the cattle wandering due to lack of drinking water and the decrease in vegetable production due to lack of rain. This is the reason that along with the farmers, animals, birds and plants are also eagerly waiting for the rain.

People troubled by the scorching heat and humidity are expected to get some relief after two days, as the conditions are likely to be favorable for the southwest monsoon to advance from the southern region of the state. On the coming 14-15 June, there is a possibility of rain with strong thunder and thunderstorms at many places in the state. On June 11, the maximum temperature of Bilaspur was 37.5 degrees Celsius, which was 2.3 degrees Celsius less than normal. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 37.5 degrees Celsius in Bilaspur.
