Chhattisgarh’s ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ Scam: Two Medical Students Extorted Crores Over 15 Years

Garhiaband police in Chhattisgarh have arrested two MBBS students from Baliram Kashyap Medical College, Jagdalpur. The duo allegedly impersonated government officials to extort ₹1 lakh from a victim, threatening him with a false case. The incident occurred under the Chhura police station jurisdiction.

The arrested students, Chandrashekhar Sen (40, Garhiaband) and Nikhil Raj Singh (37, Jhansi, UP), have been committing fraud for the past 15 years due to greed and extravagant habits. Both joined the medical college in 2007, have failed multiple times, and are still pursuing their studies.

They had previously been jailed in connection with PMT exam fraud and other scams. They have also acquired properties using money from their fraudulent activities.

In the latest case, Nikhil Raj sent a fake non-bailable warrant to a local, Khemchand, and demanded ₹2 lakh. Fearing legal trouble, Khemchand paid ₹1 lakh. The extortion continued with threats even after the initial payment.

Police arrested Chandrashekhar from Garhiaband and tracked Nikhil Raj via train with the help of RPF. Both confessed to targeting innocent people for money over the years.
