Chhattisgarh Nutrition Education Program held in Raipur, more than 60 dieticians and nutrition experts from across the country participated

The Chhattisgarh Nutrition Education Program (CNEP) organized under the joint aegis of NutriShilp (By Shilpi Goel) and MMI Narayana Superspeciality Hospital was extremely successful in Raipur. About 60 dieticians and nutrition professionals from across the country participated in this one-day special training program and gave a new direction to their knowledge in the field of nutrition.

The objective of the program was to connect nutritionists with modern science, research and clinical practice, so that they can play an even more influential role in their professional career. The program started at 8 am and lasted till 7 pm, in which the participants gained experience from theory to case studies, demonstrations and interactive sessions.

In the program, three leading nutrition experts of the country gave guidance on their subjects. Senior dietician Shilpa Joshi associated with Mumbai Diet and Health Center gave in-depth information on the subject of Carb Counting. Shivshankar Timmanpayati, Chief Clinical Nutritionist, Tata Memorial Hospital (Mumbai) shared clinical cases and strategies based on Onco Nutrition. Geeta Dharmatti from Pune, founder of Geeta NutriHeal Nutrition Consultancy, shed light on the emerging field of Nutrigenomics.

Dietitians who attended the event found the event extremely informative and practical. Getting the opportunity to learn directly from all the experts, especially on complex topics like oncology and nutrigenomics, was a rare experience. Certificates were also awarded to all the participants at the end of the program. Let us tell you that CNEP was not only a training event, but also a platform where nutritionists shared their experiences, networked and strengthened their professional confidence.
