Cleanliness Fortnight Begins; CM Announces Aid for Workers

From today till October 2, the city will observe Cleanliness Fortnight. CM will provide financial help to workers, while Congress leader Deepak Baij calls Modi’s birthday ‘Inflation and Unemployment Day’ in the capital.

Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Arun Sao has directed all municipal bodies in the state to celebrate the Swachha Utsav on September 17th. To this end, he has written to the mayors of corporations and the presidents of municipalities and town councils, emphasizing the effective implementation of the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan. Similarly, athletes have been urged to launch a campaign to keep their playgrounds, stadiums, and indoor halls clean. He urged them to continue the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan from September 17th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, to Gandhi Jayanti on October 2nd. This year, the Government of India has set the theme for the Swachhata Utsav: Clean and Green Festivals. This provides us with the vision of clean and environmentally friendly cities, free of plastic and other waste, during our festivals and celebrations. Citing the detailed guidelines issued by the Government of India and the State Government for the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan-2025, the Deputy Chief Minister placed special emphasis on the transformation of sanitation target units, cleaning public spaces, making festivals clean and green, organizing Swachhata Mitra safety camps, and conducting public awareness campaigns. He asked to connect citizens to the campaign through rallies, Prabhat Pheri, Swachhata Shapath, painting essay competition and public dialogue during the fortnight for the promotion of cleanliness.

Celebrate Modi's birthday as Inflation and Unemployment Day: Deepak Baij

Raipur. Congress took a dig at BJP for celebrating PM Narendra Modi's birthday as Seva Week. PCC President Deepak Baij quipped that Modi's birthday should be celebrated as unemployment day, inflation day, promise-breaking day, farmer betrayal day, unfair demonetization day, impractical GST day, Jumla day. It is a tradition that the birthday of a great man is celebrated in the same subject in which he is famous. The country's first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru loved children, so his birthday is celebrated as Children's Day. The PCC President said that PM Modi's achievement is to increase inflation, unemployment, poverty, hunger and inequality in the country. Modi's achievement is to cheat the farmers. Two important schemes of Modi's tenure are GST and demonetization. Apart from this, is there any achievement? Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday should definitely be celebrated on the basis of these achievements.

Land mafia dominates in BJP rule, status of MLAs and ministers is zero: Congress
