Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Deputy CM Vijay Sharma shared a video of an interview of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on social media, in which he has made a sharp sarcasm on Congress regarding India Alliance's Vice Presidential candidate Sudarshan Reddy. Shah said that Congress has fielded a candidate who is a supporter of Naxalites and gave such a decision in the case of Salwa Judum that helped Left Wing Extremism. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Vice Presidential election should not be seen from the perspective of "South vs South".

He said that the Vice President of the country can come from any state and such an approach is not correct. The Union Home Minister further said that this move of the India Alliance has also ended the remaining possibility of Congress's victory in Kerala. He alleged that Sudarshan Reddy gave such a decision in the case of Salwa Judum that helped Left Wing Extremism. If this decision had not been given, Naxalism could have ended by 2020. Amit Shah said, "Kerala has suffered the brunt of Naxalism.
